Consumption hangs! There was only one wall long enough in my house to do it, and it just barely fit. The hanging system still needs some adjustment. The cups are so heavy that it was tearing the plastic brackets holding everything to the wall. Also, I am going to address the PVC pipe's color. I'm not sure how yet but it needs something. And I need to decide what type of string to use to tie the cups to the rod. The fishing line doesn't look right. I like the raffia that I used in the image, but it doesn't really fit in with the whole "plastic consuming the world" theme,
I'm slowly touching up Nike. It will probably be done in a month or so. The next canvas is stretched and waiting.
I was going to build an amazing hanging system out of galvanized pipe. It looked so good! Alas, it was also very heavy. So Consumption will get hung this coming week with pvc pipe.
Anyways, Nike is progressing. More gold leaf and detail were added. I am not sure where it's going but I am enjoying the drive.
Consumption has four finished sections! I have devised a way to suspend it. Tomorrow I am going to get the materials. It's 120 inches wide so I am going to have to remove some paintings from a hallway in my house and put it there. I'll post photos next week.
Nike (below) is continuing to have detail addressed.
