I teach art to high school students. The upperclassmen create installations for their final. This year they only had a week because of the timing of their AP exam. One group had an interesting idea but when they finished they had a fourth grade science project on steroids. Not exactly what they were going for. Two poorly made signs later, it is up there with some of my favorites.

In other news, my painting Typical Whorl progresses.

The giant print of my painting Speedway, 1909 that was on the Arts Garden last year was recycled into purses by PUP. Pretty cool!

Not a whole lot to blog about.  I'm just painting Typical Whorl.  I do have an epic idea for my next painting, but that will have to wait  until I start it.

Nike and Consumption

The art reception at GPAC last night was very nice.  I saw another artist that had work there, who just happened to be in my one of my High School art classes many years ago.

Consumption (below) was beside some beautiful paintings and in front of some sort of drumming group.  This is the view from the balcony above.

Nike (below) was occupying a stairwell.

I don't know how to feel about it, but it is what it is.

Time to work on Typical Whorl (below).
