Tomorrow I leave with 27 other students/travelers for Italy. I'm super excited/nervous about being their "leader". Wish me luck!
My most recent painting, Mucha May Wright Sewall, is developing nicely. I'm a bit sad that I won't be able to work on her for 11 days. I have Adobe Lightroom on the iPad that I'm taking with me so I expect for my update next Saturday that I will have some of my photography, and maybe a sketch or two. Ciao! The "Teachers as Artists" show in Greenfield was very well organized and had an awesome amount of high quality work. I was honored by an award for "Merit" in 2D for All Art Must Die- woo hoo! The award money is going straight to a new roll of canvas. The show is up until the end of April.
I've got one more update and then I will be in Italy for 11 days- so there is going to be a bit of a painting drought, but the good news is that there will be a photography deluge. The show Thelema was Great!Fountain Square Brewery was a great location for the art last night. There were lots of strange art things crammed into one space- Super fun! My art will be there for the rest of the month. Garfield Park Art CenterI went to the opening reception for Hoosier Women as Artists at Garfield Park. It was a pleasant surprise that the room was so well put together. It had a great vibe. This Friday in Greenfield...There is a Teachers as Artists show at the Greenfield Art Center on 9 and Main. My two biggest babies are going to be in that location through the end of April. Come to the opening reception March 11th from 6- 9 PM.
