I use Google Analytics and my favorite thing to monitor on my website is the location of my viewers. That sounds kinda creepy when I type it out... but any-who, hello to my art viewers in Brazil, England, China, Italy, Iraq, Canada, Switzerland, India, Netherlands, and of course the United States where I reside. Cool. Sorry if I missed anyone! I love to know that people are looking at my creations. The painting that I have been working on for what seems like forever, but is actually about 4 months, is nearly done with it's intricate base coat. After I finish it I will go back and adjust angles, proportions and saturations of things that seem "off". Boa noite, good night, buona notte, 晚安, مَسَاْءْ الْنُّوْرْ, Bonsoir, Guete Aabig, शुभ रात्रि, Goedenavond!

I got the opportunity to teach a painting class with a group of wonderful students at the State Fairs first "Taste and Create" class. It was pretty fun!
Check out Roma's Page to see how she is coming along. I got the good news that I am one of eight artists being considered for a residency at the Stutz. This opportunity equates to awesome free studio space at a great location for a year. I feel really lucky just to be a finalist because Indy has a ton of amazing artists competing with one another. I've heard some artists talk about how they think there is a shortage of like minded fellow artists. I have to disagree with this because I personally know of gobs of great artists. AND I love Indy. Speaking of amazing artists, one that I show with on occasion told me about an urgent position that needed to be filled for a "Wine and Canvas"-ish type class Monday night at the Indiana State Fair. The teacher had backed out on short notice. So long story short, I will be teaching people how to paint a beautiful landscape while they drink. Sounds like fun! Below: Roma in progress |
