I am currently visiting family in Tennessee, so there is no working on Nike, but I did finish my brothers painting of his dogs Nala and Tia.

I have been going crazy with the gold leaf this past week. I'm not at Gustav Klimt level of usage yet, but I could see how one would slide down that slippery slope.
I've got to get painting! My little brother wants a painting of his dogs, I need to makes some more LGPS, weave some more cups for Consumption, and continue my gold obsession with Nike. Happy Holidays! Io Saturnalia! Merry Christmas! D|A|C did a great job with their exhibition in Miami coinciding with Miami Art Basel. They sent some photos from the exhibit. Note the woman looking closely at my lil' Nova Hydrographica LGP. I've been working on Nike even though I should work on some more LGP's. I made another one for my brother in Belgium. He should get it sometime in January... I need to work on my international shipping timing. As usual, I hate to waste art materials. I have been using blue painters tape to mask the canvas when I add gold leaf to Nike. I don't have the heart to throw away such a beautiful left over materials: dark blue painters tape flecked with gold leaf that stuck to it in the areas it was masking. Instead of balling them up and throwing them out, I have been collaging them onto 8 x 8 canvases and adding touches of leftover paint from my painting sessions. They started to resemble stars so I have dubbed the series Starry Night. Now is the time that I wrap up blogging to get back to work. First, peeling some paint off of my palette and sticking it into cups for Consumption. Second, working on my Nike. Check out her page to see the latest iteration.
