Alas, I was not selected for the Suffrage piece at the statehouse. I got pretty bummed about it and decide I wasn't bloggin'. Also, I was super busy stress-sewing masks, so painting time was being replaced with frustrated sewing.

Teaching from home because of the Coronavirus pandemic is strange, but I've been getting a little more used to it this past week. I feel so lucky to work at the school that I do because we already have a really good set up for eLearning. My painting and AP Art History classes are doing the #gettymuseumchallenge. My entry (done in twenty minutes during class- pressure!) is below. My Photography class is doing Quarantine inspired photography. One of the prompts is their workspace. My eLearning backdrop is Theorem finally all put together. I've also been working on the cradled panels for Vote!.
Once I finish the final details on Theorem, I'm going to start on the V panel. It's design is below. Well, we live in strange times. This past week I spent the week learning and trying to teach online. It went surprisingly well, but I have about 40 students' parents that I need to call since they didn't log in... I am just about done sanding and priming the cradled boards for VOTE! Theorem continues to progress. I am refining some rough spots on the largest canvas and will work my way through the little canvases over the next few weeks. I just figured out how to check out "The Great Courses Plus" content from Indianapolis Public Library online and I'm pretty stoked to listen and paint. G'night. |
