This past week has been a blast! I had an awesome time on Indy Style wishtv.com/2016/09/20/flight-of-fancy/. Roma is progressing well, which is good since I have to drop it off to the Rapp Family Gallery in a week and a half, and I will be visiting in-laws in Tennessee for 4 of those days. I've got the canvas stretched for my next piece. It will be 4 feet square and I really want the main color to be green, but am struggling to find a composition that I like... I love nature and the contrast of green and blue sky in summer, but the layering element is really difficult to mesh with that idea. I joined the Speedway Arts Council as an artist and will be showing work in their gallery on main street in Speedway soon! I also will be volunteering there for 12 hours a month, so drop in and you might see me. I also joined IDADA, an Indianapolis based artists and dealers association, officially this week. I guess it has been a busy week. :P I will be attending the release party for Fountain of Squares: Episode 3 at Fountain Square Brewery in Indianapolis this Thursday at 6 PM to see my awesome zombie skills (The awesome is sarcastic, you just can't hear it in my typing). I drove 10 hours yesterday and missed seeing my turdlettes (what I affectionately call my students) so that I could come out to the Art Museum in Philadelphia. OMG! I am totally ok with the drive because it is AMAZING. I loved the fact that I kept running into artwork by female artists. I also loved the variety of work that there was. One of my highlights was seeing some Dada artists like Duchamp and Man Ray.

I will be on Indy Style on Wish TV 8 on Tuesday Morning- tune in to see me! I will be promoting the show that I am participating in on October 7th First Friday at the Rapp Family Gallery in Indianapolis.
Being an Art Zombie for Fountain of Squares was super fun, I will link to the episode on youtube when it is released. Here is the most recent image of Roma, still a work in progress. The photo isn't fuzzy, I painted the depth of field effect that makes the left seem less clear than the right. This behemoth of a canvas, 88 inches wide by 64 inches tall, is taking forever. It is going to be in the Rapp Family Gallery Show on October 7th so I am going to stop blogging tonight and start painting! So I am pumped to get to play the part of an Art Zombie on a super laid back youtube production "Fountain of Squares" created by some fellow artists. I am sure it will be the best acting that I have ever done, especially since I am not an actor! On the home front, I am continuing to eternally work on the painting Roma; but it is getting to that really satisfying part of coming together and all together blowing my mind. This is one small section of the painting Roma. Can you find the people?
I was not selected for the Stutz Residency : ( Next Year!
