I have this nasty habit of applying for as many art opportunities as possible in my quest for domination and love of rejection. Well, I submitted a proposal for ArtPrize Pitch Night at the Indianapolis Museum of Art, and they selected me as one of five artists that each get five minutes to pitch their idea for $5,000 to create an installation in an atrium in Grand Rapids, Michigan which is part of a larger contest. Art Prize in Grand Rapids awards more than half a million dollars in prizes each year and draws more than 400,000 visitors each fall. Roma is progressing. Check her out here. In other news, I had a great time at the Indianapolis Art Center for the opening of the Art From the Heartland Exhibition. There is a lot of beautifully fascinating work to enjoy there now until August 6th.
