I love working large, it just takes forever with the amount of detail in this composition. I am guessing it won't be done by the end of next week, more like the end of the one after that if I am lucky. I love all of the little umbrella trees in the picture - which are really hard to see right now, but trust me they are there. I found out that they are called Stone Pines and, alas, that they like warmish dry climates not native to my Indianapolis. No stone pines for Lisa. I have applied for a lot of stuff this month. I recently was rejected for a mural in a Kroger in Greenwood... Didn't even make it past the first round of cuts. I have also applied for the Stutz Residency and the Beckman Emerging Artist Grant. More chance for failure! I must be addicted to it because I am not stopping. Good thing I consider Vincent Van Gogh my spirit animal. I will not stop art-ing! Until next Saturday, adios!
